Reschedule – Re zoning vote

During our Council Meeting at 9:55 am on December 9, 2024, the Council has voted to postpone the vote on the re zoning to commercial property. The vote will take place at our February 2025 Council meeting. This will give the Council as well as other parties a chance for potentially another public meeting or town hall.

Council Vote

Good morning, Buckland!

We have received several requests from our ratepayers to observe the upcoming vote on Bylaw 12 of 2024, which involves rezoning to accommodate a service station and liquor store on Highway 2. The Council will cast their votes on this matter during our Regular Council Meeting on Monday, December 9th, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

Just a reminder that this is to observe only and not a public hearing.  If you have any questions feel free to call the RM office to speak to Jason.

RM of Buckland and Buckland Fire and Rescue Collaboration

The RM  and Buckland Fire and Rescue have been working toward a mutual goal of having the fire levies added to the municipal taxes as an essential service fee starting in 2025!

This ensures that ALL ratepayers will be covered for up to $30,000 in fire fighting costs each year. Provided of course, that you are following all Fire Ban orders and making sure you report your controlled burns.

Prince Albert Rural Water Utility Board of Directors
